Yes you can try out our system. Simply register and setup a tax return. Then answer TaxTim's questions to get a feel for how the system works. At the end you will see a payment page, you can stop here and your trial will be complete. The system will send you email reminders to make payment, but you can just ignore or silence these reminders.

I tried the system and like it so far, except that I have no idea if any personal rebates or deductions apply or if I will be required to pay in any further taxes.

Unfortunately we can't tell you the result of filing the tax return - only SARS can do that, after having filed. Sometimes they have odd penalties or previous balances that affect what the output or refund to you is and we can't predict these.
