What is the refund process once I have been selected for audit by SARS?

What is the process if you have been selected for audit but e filing status is correction filed. I submitted supporting docs. Sars Status is has been assessed and statement of account shows a refund. How long does it take for money to be refunded.

Did SARS issues a Statement of Account or did you request one? If they sent it to you then your refund will be paid 2-3 days after payment. IF you requested it then it could be anymore in the region of 21 days from the time they have finished their audit process. When did you receive the ITSA?

You should expect a refund within 21 working days or possibly even sooner. Advice is to be patient and forget about it unless SARS asks for more documents or you receive that sms notifying you of the bank deposit.
