What does due by you means?

I received an email this morning it says amount due by you. What does this mean?

Where did you receive the email from?
Most SARS correspondence is accessed via logging into your SARS eFiling profile and not via a direct email.

If you have filed your tax return, you should be able to see the amount due (i.e what you owe to SARS) reflected on your tax assessment.

Any other SARS correspondence to you can be accessed by going into your SARS SARS eFiling profile and going to correspondence and searching under letters or notices.

Does the sms ask you to log in to your SARS SARS eFiling profile to check for correspondence? If not, it may be a scam.
