Wasn't selected for verification, but a week later I was???

I did my tax on the 1st of July 2014. I wasn't selected for audit or verification. After a week I didn't receive my money so I went on eFiling to see if there was a problem. There was: I have to submit
all my documents. I've scanned and send it through to SARS. Is there a reason why I was not selected
and then a week later I was? PLEASE help!

There was a very big SARS problem which caused all this, they have assured us that it is all sorted now. Best advice is to be patient and wait for the outcome, SARS unfortunately are not escalating these problems as yet.

I've received an ITSA on the 11th of July. My status says "correction filed". I then
called the call centre yesterday(I didn't even wait that long) and the lady said
that I'm under review and it takes 30 working days or less! My fingers are
crossed that they sort things out asap!

Unfortunately the issue has caused all of SARS notification systems to be incorrect in a lot of cases resulting in situations like yours. Yes, you just need to be patient and wait for them to sort it out. They will issue your refund don't worry - wish we had a better answer.
