Unemployed- Not to be employed but want personal tax number. Possible?

I need a personal tax number, but I've never been employed and don't plan to be (I'm self employed). Is it possible to obtain one?

In order to obtain a SARS tax number click the link and complete the form and then follow the instructions on how to submit it to SARS.

This needs to be done at a police station or by a Chartered Accountant or lawyer. However if you go to SARS to submit your documents then you will be able to have them certify your ID for you.
