UIF reference number and IRP5 for employee under threshold

Your UIF number should be on the document confirming PAYE registration sent to your by SARS. You can call 0800 00 7277 to request it or you can drop the 7 of the PAYE and replace it with a U.

1. Do I need to create an IRP5 certificate for an employee that earns under the threshold? if so under which code do I capture their income 3601 or 3602?

You would capture their income as 3601 and yes you would need to create one.
