Tax refund after audit taking so long

I submitted my Tax Return to SARS, on the 03/07/2015. On the same day I received the notification that I was yet again for a second year in a row being audited. Since it was the weekend I could only submit the required documents on the 06/07/2015. I have been waiting 7 working days now for some sort of email/sms from SARS saying that my refund is on its way, (last year tax season, it took them 2 days after the notification to get my refund in). All that they are querying is my Medical Aid Tax.
Why are they taking so long?

Why are they taking so long?
Unfortunately it can take SARS 21 working days to process their verification. You will receive a letter of completion once they have done this, but usually they complete it within the next 5 days or so.
