Hello Tim,
If I earn R8000 per month and are registered as a full time student but also employed full time and at a permanent post at my employer what will my tax be per month?

Please make use of our SARS income tax calculator to see the tax you will pay.
Thank you for the reply, I did calculate my PAYE tax but my employer as well as the accountant told me because I am a student my amount payable each month is 25% is this incorrect?
This rate is prescribed by SARS for casual workers who work part time (less than 22 hours per week).
If you are in a full time position you should ask your employer to tax you per the normal tax tables. Either way, when you file your tax return you will obtain a refund for the tax that you have overpaid.
