SARS bank details confirmation - Can it be done online?

I need to confirm my bank account and residence for SARS, is there anyway I can do this online?

SARS normally requires bank details to be verified in person at a SARS branch. However, you could call the SARS helpdesk on 0800 007 277 and ask them to provide a link in your SARS eFiling profile in order to upload the documents yourself. However, be prepared for them to say you must come in person, however it's worth a try.
