Registering for a tax number with SARS?

I've noticed conflicting information re: how to register for a tax number in South Africa. I'm an international student studying in South Africa and will be working part-time during my studies. Can you confirm what is now required to register for a tax number?


-completed IT77 form
-copy of certified ID document/passport/driver's license

Do I still need to include a proof of address? (I'm currently renting a flat so I only have a lease agreement)
What about 3 months of bank statements on official letterhead? I plan to file my taxes via eFiling.
