PAYE was deducted from my salary every month and I did not get more than any of my colleagues (we are in the same notch). What could be the problem and how can I solve this? I am still in shock after receiving this e mail on 2013/04/30.

Thanks for the prompt response. However, after visiting my SARS branch it appears that my employee's tax was not considered during evaluation. I filed the the notice of objection and attached the tax certificate then a few hours later I received a second IT34 which shows that I am actually due for a refund. Problem solved.
