Medical Aid Tax if I pay Medical Aid privately as the company does not cover it

I am starting a new job and I will be taking over my medical aid privately so my company will not contribute towards my medical aid. I will be paying for main member 3 dependents (adult & 2 children). How does this medical aid tax credit work? Would I now be able to benefit on tax if I pay privately?
