Medical aid tax credit

Hi What is the difference between medical aid tax credit and medical aid tax credit used. I have both as a deduction on my payslip for the exact same amount of R270. Should it be taken twice?

Having not seen your payslip we can only imagine it is showing you what is available and what then gets taken off your PAYE. However you are only allowed R270 per member for the first two members per month.
