I think my question should have been which supporting documentation is required for a pty ltd when there are two partners.I have heard that the section for public officer needs a resolution stating who the public officer is.how true is this?

Yes, if the public officer is not one of the directors then you need a directors resolution confirming this. You also need the latest utility bill and an original bank stamped confirmation letter.

Yes it would help and rather do it than have SARS ask for more information and you have to come back.
