Is there a specific reason why SARS ask for supporting documentation or is it selected at random?

Hello Tim!Is there a specific reason why SARS ask for supporting documentation? Some of my family members are selected for verification and others not, is there a specific reason or at random? Will it be asked next year?

It is a random selection usually or is based on the fact that SARS has noticed differences in the information they have and what you have provided.
