IRP5 from a company I don't work for anymore

By Marc Sevitz · Updated

I have received an IRP5 form from an agency that I previously worked for from another company in Cape Town. I have no clue what I am suppose to do with this IRP5 form because I don't work for the company anymore.

Can you please advise me or assist me on this matter? Thank you

You would need to submit this IRP5 along with all your other tax information to SARS in order to see whether you are due a refund or owe SARS any money. We can assist you in this process by which you can begin by registering for TaxTim

It means you earn other income aside from your salary of more than R20 000 and you need to pay tax on that extra income twice a year. So at the end of the tax year you don't have to pay anymore. All it really means is that you pay tax upfront instead of waiting for the end. Read our guide to Provisional Tax
