I earned R6 500 and was a temp in the last tax period I only worked for 3 months. Can I claim PAYE for those months?

yes my employer did pay over PAYE on my behalf

When you file your tax return using your IRP5 the amounts of PAYE paid will most likely be refunded as for the entire year you had earned under the tax threshold.
