I did the interview at MR PRICE so they want TAX NUMBER?

I had my interview at MR Price today so they want me to go to SARS and have TAX NUMBER. So I want to know, DO I HAVE TO PAY TAX?

If you are earning more then R70 700 for the tax year which goes from March to February then you would need to pay tax. However you will always need a tax number which you can get by going into a SARS office. You would need to take you ID, proof of where you live and 3 months bank statements to get your tax number.
