How to get my tax number via email

Would you like to apply for a tax number or do you already have a tax number but need SARS to send you a confirmation of this number?

If you would like to apply for a tax number, you can do this by registering on the www.sars.gov.za website and once you log in, you'll see your tax reference number. To register, you'll need your ID number, full names and surname.

Should you only need a print out of your tax number, you can go to the www.sars.gov.za website, click on contact us and then select that you want to "Request your tax number". Please choose if you'd want it to be SMS'd to you or emailed, enter your title, initials, name, surname, email address, contact numbers and ID number then click submit. 

SARS will then send your tax number to you.
