How long do refunds take

Hi Tim, I just wanted to find out, I filled in my tax return and according the IT34, SARS owes me a refund. How long do the refunds normally take because the bottom block doesn't say I need to submit documents and today is already the 4th working day?

It should take a few days, however you can call SARS on 0800 007 277 to find out if there is a reason for the delay. You may need to verify your bank details (in which case they will send you a letter) or you may have old tax returns which are outstanding.

Four days is not too long though, you may need to be patient for a bit longer :)
