How do I register tax for a sole trader business as well as a salary?

I earn a salary of R10 000. 00, My employer submits the paye. I have started a business sole trader in August 2015. Can I register for the business on my current tax number and what do I need to fill in.

A business operating as a sole trader is not a separate legal entity. The income and expenses of the business must be declared in your own personal tax return (under your own existing tax number) within the section "Local, Trade and Professional Income".

Depending on your earnings, you may need to register for provisional tax as well.
