Help me to know if I qualify to pay tax?

I am permanently employed and receive the basic salary of R2600. 00 p/m excluding overtime. Do I have to pay tax?

No you do not have to pay income tax on this amount as it falls below the tax threshold.

thanks very much Tim for helping me. I just wonder why my company want our tax numbers as soon as possible that if we fail to do so we won't get paid.I don't know why because we don't qualify to pay tax

They need to submit all records to SARS anyway so need your tax number to do this.
