Foreign tax on invoice

We charge a management fee for services rendered in Botswana. They withheld 10% how do we claim it back and can we claim any VAT on this invoice from outside in South Africa?

Unfortunately VAT is only payable by South Africans as it is a charge for SA, the supply of services to non-residents is a zero rated supply. The 10% needs to be included in your tax return under foreign tax credits which will then reduce the amount owing to SARS.
