Expenses for professional clothes, shoes and hair styling

Can you claim expenses for clothes, shoes and hair styling if you are a self employed professional individual like an architect, lawyer or psychologist as an example, if you can argue that you need to wear professional clothes and look professional in carrying on your normal business?
