As far as I understand I can adjust my 12 month period as to when these 183 days fit in? So how will I use your site then?
For example: Say I worked from Feb 2012 to Feb 2013 and got my 183 days and done that years tax return......Then stayed at home not working for six months only to start again in July 2013 on ?
The law speaks of a calender period of 12 months and the 183 days falling within that 12 months. If the work performed falls over two tax periods, yet within a calender 12 month period then all that income will be tax free. You would still need to complete a return for each tax year and indicate to SARS why the income earned is not taxable.
