Do I have to pay tax on medical aid contribution paid by my employer from whom I retired?

Yes, you do need to do so.
Going forward, not for 2014 though.
Does my ex-employer need to give me an IRP5. I asked them for one, but they say I do not need one since I am not on the payroll any more. When I visited SARS office they insisted on an IRP5 for the medical contribution my ex-employer pay.
They have to provide you one, showing all contributions.
