I've just started my internship this month and I am expecting my first pay month end. I earn R6000 and I have registered for a tax number, do I have to pay tax?

There is no tax on R6,000 a month. The tax threshold is R73,650 per year and therefore any amount earned below this in a year won't attract tax.

Please make use of our SARS income tax calculator
