Do I have to be registered with SARS if I don't work?

I am a housewife and someone said to me that SARS must know of my existence. Is this true? Is it necessary to aggravate myself by standing in insanely long queues?

If you earn no income then you do not need to register as a taxpayer until you earn above R63 556 per year from salaried work or R20 000 from interest and dividends. Do you earn any income at all?

You won't need to register as a taxpayer as you have no earnings and luckily for you SARS won't be knocking at your door any time soon:)
