I am offering a service to a company that is in Durban for a whole week. My accommodation and transport costs are billed to the client. My question is that does the accommodation costs attract output VAT for my company. Do I charge VAT for the accommodation billed to the client?

I am training a company that is in Durban so the client is paying for my accommodation while I am in Durban.

You would invoice the client for your services including what the actual costs to you are. So on that you will charge him the accommodation costs you pay which include VAT and then charge the VAT to him as well. Essentially he is reimbursing you.
