If I have been provided with a work laptop and will need to tax return it if I leave my place of employment, can I claim the depreciation deduction?

Unfortunately you cannot claim depreciation on a laptop that has been provided to you by your work. This deduction would only apply if you had purchased the laptop yourself and use it for work purposes.
