Car allowance for full year if I worked 6 months

I worked for 6 months and got a car allowance. I moved jobs and didn't get allowance. must I complete logbook for full year? What can I claim? I had a big service when at the new job and nobody paying for it.

No, you would complete the travel section only for the month you used the car for work and received the allowance. There will be questions for this during the process. You cannot include expenses outside of the period when you used the car for work and received that allowance.

So I used car for 9000km in first 6 months (with car allowance) and then 1000km in next 6 months (no allowance) and went for service when I had no allowance, which was because of the 9000km.

You can go ahead and include the cost of the service, SARS will make a determination if they will pro-rata this and allow it.
