Back pays get taxed?

Hi TT. I have been working for 3month. Month later they suspend. Me

With fully paid. And benefits. They didn't pay so I took them to
CCMA. I won the case. They agreed to pay me
My back pay of R4500. 00 instead of paying it
In they gave me R3300. 00 and say I got taxed is it
Possible?

That does not seem correct, if R4 500 was all you earned per month then you should not have had any tax deducted.
